SPRING 2021 BEGINNER BEEKEEPING SCHOOL

Person County Beekeepers Association is having an in person Spring 2021 beginning beekeeping school!!

2 Saturdays - March 20 & March 27 from 8:30 AM - 4 PM

March 20th will cover

Intro to beekeeping
Anatomy of bees
Equipment, clothing, and tools of the beekeeper
Pests and threats to bees and hives
Varroa mites

Q&A and discussion of Community Apiary

March 27th will cover

Review from first class & getting your bees

Products of the hive
Planting for bees
Seasonal management/Calendar of beekeeping
Review of full course & materials & NCSBA certification test

Registration

Cost is $60/Individual & $100/Couple
